Why we don’t sell on Amazon?
PKI Press, an enterprise of the Authenticity Alliance, does not sell books on Amazon for the following reason:.
Amazon will not share information about the buyers of a book with the book’s author, claiming it would violate the buyer’s privacy. And yet, Amazon accumulates and monetizes their own vast collection of data about buyers by sharing it with the Silibandia data-broker industry.
PKI Press lets the buyer of a book choose whether they would like the author to know their identity, enabling an author to have a relationship with their readers.
Except in cases where there is no alternative, The Authenticity Store – along with other member enterprises of The Authenticity Alliance – does not do business with entities whose “privacy” behavior goes against the Alliance’s core tenet - You own the information about yourself, and license it to others as you choose. See the Osmio Privacy Ordinance for details.
