About PKI Press
After the Internet came the World Wide Web, a domain that has transformed the
way we live and do business. Everything from research to commerce has been
affected, and the ability to access information quickly, to buy and sell
efficiently, and to be “anywhere” without restriction or inhibition has fired
the imagination of millions of users. For business, online opportunity came with
a price tag—the need for better security. Average users, too, have increasingly
felt the need to know “who is at the other end.” Individuals, associations, and
businesses are increasingly at the mercy of uncontrollable forces. Now the Web
is beginning to change in ways that will transform the way we spend time
online.
PKI Press was established to publish books about the state and future of the
Internet. Anyone interested in the translation of commercial, social, political,
and community functions to virtual space will find indispensable information in
our publications, which treat a variety of topics for both specialists and
generalists. Whether you’re a security professional or an Internet user
concerned about the future of your business or personal interactions on the Web,
PKI Press can provide you with the books you need to understand what is
happening now and what is on the horizon.

JENNIFER MOST DELANEY: PRODUCTION CONSULTANT
Jennifer’s career in publishing began at a little-known, local newspaper
outside Burlington, Vermont called The Vermont Times. Here she
experienced the intricacies of typography, editorial deadlines and the art of
printing and binding.
In 1993, she graduated from Connecticut College with an individually designed
major in writing and illustration. Her next step was to enter the fast-paced
world of magazine publishing: First with Discover Connecticut magazine,
and then to Adams Media, where she went from Assistant Editor to Editor
of their career magazine division in just three years.
Determined to explore the industry, she then moved into the world of trade
book publishing where she has remained for the last fourteen years. Her tenure
began at Little, Brown and Company in the production department of the
children’s division. From there, she advanced to the position of Reprints
Manager, and would later take control of all reprints for Little, Brown Juvenile
Trade, Little, Brown Adult Trade, Bulfinch Press and Warner Books under the
umbrella of AOL Time Warner.
After six years with one of the world’s largest publishers, Jennifer decided
to switch gears and explore the world of small, independent publishing. Her work
as Production Manager with David R. Godine, Publisher has been as rewarding as
her previous publishing work, and has opened her eyes to a new world of
independent decision-making, and the art of making high-quality books.
Currently, Jennifer is still in the industry of trade publishing where she is
comfortable and confident in her ability to use the tools she has mastered.
However, she is also involved in her next great challenge: the start-up. When
the opportunity arose for her to take over a newly developed publishing company,
PKI Press, she knew this was a chance to expand into a new, modernized arena of
publishing, while still being true to the art of the printed word. With her
first author, Wes Kussmaul, Jennifer leads PKI Press into the future—publishing
books for a community that wants to discover the exciting frontier of authentic
online identities. She hopes others will follow Mr. Kussmaul’s lead, and put
their own ideas on paper in order to educate and prepare our world for a private
and safe Internet of the future.
